A USB-C rechargeable lamp is easier to live with because the charging connector is familiar and widely available. That does not mean every cable, adapter or charging habit is identical. A few simple checks can protect the battery, charging port and product over time.
Use the supplied charging setup first
Ruvaa Mono includes a USB-C cable and a compatible charging adapter. Using the supplied setup removes uncertainty about voltage and connector fit.
If you replace the adapter later, use a compatible 5V power source. Avoid damaged cables, loose connectors or unknown high-power accessories that do not provide standard USB charging.
Plan around the full charging time
Ruvaa Mono takes approximately 3 to 4 hours for a full charge. Place it on a dry, stable surface indoors while charging and keep the port clear of dust and moisture.
You do not need to charge it after every use. More than 50 hours of runtime means occasional evening use can continue across many days.
Do not confuse runtime with brightness modes
Some products quote their longest runtime at the lowest dimming setting. Ruvaa Mono has one fixed 1W ambient output and no dimming. Its runtime claim relates to that single normal mode.
Battery performance can still vary slightly with age, temperature and charging habits, as it does with rechargeable products generally.
Protect the lamp from heat and water
Do not charge near a hot window, stove, heater or in direct afternoon sun. High heat can affect both the battery and PLA bioplastic body.
The lamp is not waterproof. Keep the charging port dry and never charge it on a wet balcony or immediately after cleaning.
Store it with care
If the lamp will not be used for a long period, store it indoors in a cool, dry place. Check and recharge it periodically instead of leaving the battery empty for months.
For everyday use, the simplest routine is enough: charge indoors, use the correct adapter, keep the port dry and avoid extreme heat.
